Similar problems, where you need to arrange pieces in the correct order, can be extremely difficult. In the Eternity II puzzle, released in 2007, you had to arrange 256 square pieces on a \(16 \times 16\) grid such that the patterns on the edges of adjacent pieces matched. A prize of two million dollars was promised to the first person who found the solution. After two and a half years, no one found the solution. However, the first version of the puzzle was solved!
