This theorem makes it much easier to establish the cardinality of many pairs of sets, much more simply than we did before. For example, now there is no need to highlight a countable subset within the interval \((0,1)\) to establish its cardinality with the half-interval \((0,1]\) (though we already know that they differ by a countable set, so they have the same cardinality).
